Sweih has taken instruction from some of the top Middle Eastern/bellydance instructors/musicians in the NW and internationally. (Hadia,Sabura,Hossam & Serena Ramzy & many others). She is a member of the local NW dance troupe "hands of fatima". This dynamic troupe can be seen around the NW performing in venues such as Fenix Underground and the Mercury. Sweih can also be seen performing solo at many local NW venues. She has been part of several different music events in the past and is a supporter of local musicians and dancers. Having helped produce the John Bilezikjian show last October and is in the process of producing an upcoming show with California based Solace and the Devadasti dancers in March of 2005. (solaceshowinfo@yahoo.com) Her charismatic style and energy is an attribute to her understanding of the Middle Eastern dances and culture. She enjoys sharing this knowledge and hopes to help educate up and coming dancers in the art of Middle Eastern dance styles and music by having fun with it and encouraging young dancers to explore every aspect of music and dance.

CLASS OFFERINGS! Starting September 30th, Middle Eastern dance classes for the young in body, mind and heart.

Located at Asiya's studio in Marysville. 13126 54th Dr. Ne Marysville, wa 98270

Thursdays 6:00 to 8 pm. (1st hour is dedicated to dance movement and music etc... last hour is Troupe choreography.)

$30.00 per month 1 hr class / $40.00 per month for class and troupe combined

(must attend 1st hour to participate in Troupe choreography.)
(cost of costuming for those involved in Troupe activities is additional)

Sweih will be instructing a new class for young dancers ages 6 to 16. This is a beginning dance class which will entail basic Classical Egyptian movement, along with various other styles of Middle Eastern dance, Kinesiology (the study of the principles of mechanics and anatomy in relation to human body and movement) rhythms and choreography. Plus we get to play with lots of different props!! ~ Zills, cane, veil, fans, etc...

This is a great way to keep the young ones entertained as well as get some great exercise in a positive, productive and energetic atmosphere. So come make new friends, wear beautiful jingly costumes and learn dance and culture all at the same place.

Troupe will be learning choreography to perform at various festivals and events. Release forms will be required to be signed by guardians/parents for participants in this class.
